She\/he just needs to work harder. <strong>OR<\/strong> \u201conly learning disabled children need help\u201d<\/td><td>Intelligence and skills are <strong>very different things.<\/strong> Most smart kids still need help with <strong>Attention<\/strong>, <strong>Reading<\/strong>, <strong>Expression, Organising Thoughts <\/strong>and<strong> Listening Skills.<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u201cOnce I put him into remedial programs, he\/she will need support forever.\u201d<\/td><td>If help is taken EARLY, the child will need help only on a temporary basis till skills improve.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u201cMy child will feel different and embarrassed in a remedial program\u201d<\/td><td>Children in fact build confidence as skills develop and they experience small successes in a one-on-one or play based setting.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u201cLet\u2019s wait and watch, they\u2019re still small\u201d<\/td><td>Yes, children grow at their own pace but <strong>skills<\/strong> will develop <strong>only with timely and patient guidance<\/strong>.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>\u201cIf I enrol my child for a remedial program, it will add more pressure \u201c<\/td><td>Early intervention is play based, interactive and kids love these classes more than school. As skills develop they will not need the intervention.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em style=\"\"><strong><u>&nbsp;A Gentle Message for Parents and Educators:<\/u><\/strong><\/em><\/p><p><strong><em>Waiting until learning struggles becomes visible to everyone is what will traumatize and label your child.
